Goodbye Phoenix Arts...
Thu, Jul 9, 2009
The last ever film screening at Phoenix Arts took place on Wednesday 8th July 2009. An excited crowd from Kibworth Primary gathered to see the premiere of films Pet Pageant and Suspicious. It was a remarkable evening with lots of energy and enthusiasm from pupils, parents and teachers. The films were followed by a Q&A, where the young filmmakers described their experiences of being in front of and behind the camera. There was even an appearance by Johnny Depp...

...ok, it was Anna of class 5B dressed as Johnny Depp.

"I just wantes to say thank you because it was such a magical night! The parents and children are still talking about it."

Paul Stone. Head Teacher at Kibworth Primary School.

"Just wanted to say thanks for Wednesday evening, it was a great night and the children has a fantastic time. They received a lot of positive comments about their films and generally people couldn't believe the quality..."

Mick Beck. Filmmakers Class Teacher at Kibworth Primary School.

"The films were great: it is amazing what can be achieved with hard work and determination in such a short space of time."

Sue Porter. Phoenix Arts Education and Outreach Officer.
