Large Scale on the BBC

Large Scale were proud to have recently contributed to a belter of a programme on BBC Radio 4 called Hail Marys and Miniskirts.

The programme, broadcast on Wednesday the 18th June at 11.00 am  investigates the experience of Irish Women who emigrated to the UK in the 50s and 60s. Large Scale’s contribution included sections from a poignant film we made for The Emerald Centre in Leicester.  From The Shannon To The Soar followed the journeys of seven people born in Ireland who made the journey across the Irish sea to live and work in Leicester.

Jackie Duffy of The Emerald Centre played a huge part in making the film happen by providing the connections and accessibility to some fascinating people, and their stories.
